Our
desire to "Go"
Because of our desire to “go” and to “make disciples”, the
focus of the CHRISTWALK fellowship is quite a bit different
from a more traditional church. While having a Sunday
service is something we like to do for inspiration,
instruction and personal growth, it is just as important for
us to be active in serving people. We try to do that here in
our own area and around the world. In serving, and at the
same time, developing relationships with those we serve, we
believe that we have a greater opportunity to share the
awesome life we’ve found in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
That’s what we do… we GO and then, we… MAKE DISCIPLES!
A heart
for the world
The senior pastor of CHRISTWALK is a professional eye doctor
(optometrist), as well as, an ordained minister. His vision
and leadership helps guide the direction CW travels as a
church. He and his family served as missionaries to Moscow,
Russia, and he is the founding pastor of a large church in
Ocala, Florida (Wings of Faith Fellowship). His travels and
experiences in Haiti, Africa, Eastern Europe, Central America and here, in
the States, have given him a heart for the world. |
Our Primary Approach
CW Vision is CHRISTWALK's primary approach to serving and reaching out to others in need. CW Vision includes an eye clinic in Ghana, Africa, short-term Eyeglass Ministry trips to Central America (currently, the Miskito Indians of eastern Nicaragua). CW Vision Center is a non-profit eye care center located in Nassau County, Florida. The vision center will serve those who are not able to obtain proper eye care due to finances, lack of insurance, or other hardships. CW Vision Center is now being organized and will be open starting Jan, 2009. The purpose behind CW Vision is to show the love of Jesus Christ in a tangible way and to make a connection with people in order to share the life we enjoy in Christ. |
